Product Description The AeroPress is an entirely new way to make coffee, American style or Espresso style for use in lattes, cappucinos and other espresso based drinks. AeroPress brews simply delicious coffee, 1-4 cups per pressing. Ideal water temperature and faster brewing yields rich flavor with lower acidity and without bitterness. Other brewing processes use near boiling water and long exposure to coffee grounds. Quickly brew a variety of coffee drinks including an Americano or an espresso-style shot for use in lattes or cappuccinos. Its total-immersion system permits extraction at a moderate temperature and a short brew time. Water and grounds are mixed together for 10 seconds, then gentle air pressure pushes the mix through a micro-filter in just 20 seconds, which avoids the bitterness of long processes such as drip brewing. The air pressure also gently squeezes the last goodness from the grounds, further enriching the flavor. The total brewing time of only 30 seconds results in an exceptionally smooth brew. The AeroPress is BPA free.

Makes great, smooth coffee September 10, 2010 K. L. Riggs (Sacramento, CA) I'm used to making single cups of coffee with paper filters in a plastic drip funnel, which is fine, simple. The aeropress is not much more work, and the coffee less bitter. It is also easy to clean. I love it!
However, the Amazon ad picture of the flat hand 'pressing' the plunger down is misleading, as it takes a bit of force to press it down. A good morning workout that's well worth it!
Excellent coffee! September 10, 2010 Morris Dye The AeroPress might seem a bit labor-intensive to anyone who's used to a typical drip coffee maker, but it does make really good coffee, one or two cups at a time.
bitter coffee - trouble tomake it September 8, 2010 diane I purchased this coffee pot recently and do NOT like it at all. I think it is too much trouble to make coffee with this system and that the coffee that results is bitter. I am sorry I purchased it.
Awesome September 8, 2010 Spencer Dylan Post This press makes perfect espresso. No crema but it tastes great. It's well designed and very compact. I plan on taking it backpacking. If you drink espresso every day like me this will save you LOTS of money. It's well worth the 25 bucks. Buy it!
I like this thing September 3, 2010 Sacramento I'm a coffee snob, but this aeropress works great. I've used a French press for years, always forgoing that last 1/2 ounce or so. But the aeropress makes that unnecessary. It really is as easy as the makers make it sound. I haven't tried espresso (not my thing anyway). The only complaint I have is the size. Just 2 ounces larger and it would be the right size for the coffee mug I use the most. Instead, I fill it to the #4, stir, wait until the water goes down to #3, then add more hot water. That sounds easy enough, but it isn't always clear (especially if you're using coffee to wake yourself up) where the water level actually is (versus the kind of coffee froth that forms when you pour the water in--if you've used this, you know what I mean). I've used this for about a month now, and I still don't have that down to a science. It's not a reason not to buy this--I'll continue to use it--but it might take a few weeks of trial an error unless you drink from a rather small cup.
